David’s career in athletics was nurtured and encouraged by the late Noel Carroll, Athletics Coach, and the late Dr Tony O’Neill, Sports Director UCD. By raising the profile of UCD as a centre for sporting excellence, David helped make it a university of choice for talented sportspeople.
